There is a moment in The Shawshank Redemption when Brooks, one of the prisoners, is released. Having spent his life in prison, he doesn’t know how the world works outside of the walls. He writes his old friends still in prison and makes the observation that “the world when and got itself in god damned hurry.” It seems we have a difficult time slowing down and relishing a moment and taking pleasure with some of those finer things in life. The French use the word plaisir to express the idea of relishing and cherishing moments.

Today, we focus on how we drink Deerhammer American Single Malt, not the drink itself. Serving from a decanter, we slow down and explore this notion of plaisir and what it means to us. Find a friend and share a moment in plaisir and join us was we explore the impact of plaisir on us.
