There is no doubt that our culture thrives on competition. It doesn’t seem to matter, we value the first, the winner. And this seems to go to our spirits. It seems that many of our legacy distilleries claim to the oldest or the first this or that. And then comes Lairds Apple Brandy, the oldest American spirit. Where our legacy distilleries cover their labels with their claims to being the first or oldest, Lairds does not.
