On July 16. 2009 then President Obama hosted what has become colloquially known as The Beer Summit. What he called a “teachable moment” for the nation, was an event, that while it may not spoken to all of us, the idea of having a tough talk with friends over a beer is something all of us can relate to. The question we explore is what is it about getting together with friends over a beer that is so common to all us, it is almost a primal or tribal instinct?

Crack open a beer, if you can do it with a friend, even better, and join us in this spirited conversation on the patio. Listen here…

Thank you for taking the time to listen. What do you think about the role “going out for a beer” plays in our culture? Is it something truly common to all of us? Let us know what you think, share your thoughts in the comments and join the spirited conversation.

Cheers!
